My aunt gave me a Minolta Maxxum 5 35mm SLR camera two months ago, and I'm finally learning something about it. Today I experimented with manual focus and long exposure. I can't get it to work decently for macro, though. The Canon Powershot I was using earlier has a way better macro feature. I guess I have to get macro lenses? Oh well. It's a lot of fun.

I love my macro lens. It really helped me get into photography a lot more. It literally gives you another perspective on the world!

i finally ended up with a fixed lens camera, so all i do is try and get the settings to match the lens i want when that's possible. my brother in law has a film slr and he's not even into photography, but some of the shots he gets are gorgeous. i got a book about lighting and almost every shot is done with a film slr, as well. as long as you get good film you should do quite well.

No, not yet. I've just been playing around with it!

Everything I've been posting and will post until at least the 9th will be from the Powershot I've been using.

I wasn't interested in macros until I saw your photography. :)
