Question

Where did you grow up and what was it like?
I was born here in Calgary, but at the end of second grade I moved to a small town where I spent five years. We lived next to a forest. I spent a lot of time in the trees and down by the river.
At the end of seventh grade, I moved back to the city and it was nice to be back, but school was never the same again. Home life was much better, so I didn't need to rely on school as a getaway anymore.
I'm really, really grateful for being older now and knowing that I can do anything if I put my mind to it. How about you?

the second house we lived in was haunted. i can say this because both myself, my sister, and brother saw and heard things that we never spoke of until we were adults.
we moved to the suburbs of central MA as i was entering high school. i went to college in Amherst, which is in western MA. it's funny to me that people think MA is all the same, being such a small state, but it's quite diverse.
i spent 3 years in Burlington VT for grad school, and i miss it. moved back to central MA and worked there for a few years before buying a little house in Westminster, which is north of here (yes, i'm back in these crappy suburbs) near a mountain. there were lots of awesome backroads to explore, and i often drove north into Keene NH, which is a neat town.
i sold the house to move to Phoenix AZ to be with rachel, whom i married. i hated Phoenix, but i loved northern AZ, particularly Flagstaff and Payson. and though initially i hated the desert, i came to love it and miss it quite a bit. we split four years later and i came back here, and am dying to leave.
the end...?
That's lovely.
Wow, would you mind sharing any of those stores? If not, it's okay, but I admit I'm very much interested in hearing about them.
It's awesome that you live in New England. I have a fascination with that area because of H.P. Lovecraft.
I wouldn't like to live in Arizona, though. It's much too hot there.
I've actually lived where I'm living ever since I was born. I live on a farm and that's where my love for nature and animals has come from. The farm I live on is 45 minutes south west of Winnipeg and 15 away from where I go to school. Right when you drive into our driveway there are two white pillars with latterns that don't work anymore and at the end of the driveway is a large red barn. It was renovated a few years back and has metallic red siding and a jet black roof. Our cats sleep on the large window sills on the second floor.
I had a care free childhood and went to the local k-9 school. The only bad thing I can think of is going through some hard times in grade 8 and 9 but I'm so over that now it's not even funny. I've come extremely far from those days and I'm proud of who I am today.
Wow, that sounds amazing.
I'm really glad. I love your attitude.
